"Mr. Belvedere" – Eaves & Window

Posted: March 8, 2003

Lots of progress in the last month – much of it not very photo worthy: shower pans, HVAC ducts, lighting and A/V wiring. What was (potentially) photo worthy follows.

Mitre-cut, tongue-and-groove, redwood eaves with continuous copper eave vents are nearly complete...

Custom Fine Finishing, our "finish carpenters" are, indeed, doing a fine job...

Saved $30K; didn't do a slate roof that nobody could see anyway...

Assembling the top 3/4 of the big flat-arch window in the front...

That's over 150 pounds per person; lifting it into place...

Five people lifting the complete window onto the sill and into the concrete frame...

Well, it will look better without the scaffolding, but you get the idea...

Design input for what may be the main entry door...
